How to Join

Laborers' newly working with a Signatory Contractor within Summit, Portage or Medina County have 8  days to join Local 894.

You will need the following to join Local 894:

• A current pay stub showing you are working in Summit, Portage or Medina County

• A valid drivers' license or a State issued ID

The Total Initiation Fee is $623.00. This includes $500 for initiation plus $123.00 for the first three months union dues in advance (@$41.00 per month). As of January 1, 2023, the minimum payment towards Initiation is $241.00 and is required upon joining. Union dues are due on the first of every month and are the responsibility of the Laborer. Your dues are not deducted from your paycheck.

Dues can be paid many months in advance if preferred.
